Diwali  is the time to make some traditional sweets  and one such simple favorite is the Badusha or Balushahi as it is also known.

Fit for the kings , mildly sweet, light and flaky ,  something you can have a piece or two indulging during Diwali.

Make a crumbly textured dough.


Leave it to rest


After nearly 20 minutes pull apart to check the texture.



Make small flat doughnut shaped badushas by shaping lightly.



Deep fry on a medium to low heat.



 Drain on a paper towel, note the flaky texture.


 Dip in the sugar syrup and remove after 2-3 minutes.
